Slices of feta grilled in the oven for an aperitif or as a mezze
Feta is a bit of my favorite cheese of the summer season, I eat a lot of it because I find it goes wonderfully with raw vegetables and all the whole salads that I prepare for myself when it’s hot.
I had not yet tried to put it in the oven and it was when I saw a photo on Pinterest that I let myself be tempted. I made a quick little dish with cherry tomatoes, olives and lots of fresh herbs, a nice swig of olive oil and presto, in the oven. The result is a melting, almost sticky feta to be enjoyed spread on a nice slice of bread: a treat!
- 400 g feta
- 250 g cherry tomatoes
- 200 g mixed olives
- 1/2 yellow lemon
- 2 garlic cloves
- fresh thyme and / or rosemary
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- Preheat your oven to 180 ° C. Place the feta on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Arrange the cherry tomatoes and olives around.
- Add the lemon zest, the pressed garlic cloves, the chopped basil, salt and pepper generously. Drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil before baking for 30 minutes.
